The Cuisinart CWC-800 wine cellar is part of the Private Reserve line. This line of small wine cellars was designed to keep your personal collection of wines chilled to the exact degree of preference. They may not be big enough to entertain a large party, but they are perfect for keeping your favorite blends on hand.

This model will hold up to eight bottles of wine, ensuring you can keep a little of all your favorite wines on hand or you can stock up on eight bottles of your favorite. The window pane going down the front makes it easy to see what you have left and ensure it is fully stocked. It also gives the overall cellar an attractive modern style since the centered window is framed in stainless steel.

Setting the temperature is as simple as pushing buttons on the touchpad. This is a nice digital touchpad that is backlit in blue so you can always see the buttons even in dimmer lighting. The inside of the cellar also has lighting, which can be turned on to illuminate the view from the outside window or turned off completely.

Inside the cellar you have four racks, each with enough capacity to hold two 750 ml bottles of wine. The cellar is nicely sized for the amount of wine that it holds: just over 10 inches in width and a bit over 17 inches in height. This is a compact cellar that can easily be slipped into a corner next to your most comfy recliner so you are always ready to kick back and take the edge off the day.

You can find other wine cellars similarly sized which accommodate the same amount of wine, but they won’t all be able to compete with this Cuisinart wine cellar in terms of actual performance. The cooling system on this cellar is said to be top notch so you will have perfectly chilled wine without a lot of noise. Actual consumer feedback on this aspect of the Private Reserve wine cellars in general has come with a few complaints that it does make some noise, but when compared with similar cellars from other brands it is one of the more quiet cellars.

When you read consumer reviews about the wine cellars featured in the Cuisinart Private Reserve line, these cellars are generally praised for their sleek, attractive appearance and the simplicity of operation. Being able to touch a button and have your wine perfectly cooled is a great convenience.

One thing that must be noted is that the Cuisinart CWC-800 wine cellar will resort back to a default temperature if it loses electricity for any period of time. This is likely to be a lot warmer than what you previously had programmed into the unit. This is a common problem with a lot of cooling appliances today, but it is also something you need to be aware of. If you re-program with the touchpad shortly after the power coming back on it won’t be a big deal.

This is overall a great little cellar that keeps a nice selection of your personal favorites chilled at the perfect temperature. There is also a six bottle model that is quite popular in the Private Reserve line up.
